Dear Parents/Guardians

Welcome to the 2023 - 2024 school year!

We look forward to meeting our new students and their families and we welcome back our returning ones. At the Sheikh Zayed Private Academy for Boys (SZPAB), we have a dedicated staff that has a strong commitment to student well-being and achievement and to promoting positive, inclusive and supportive relationships with students, families, staff and community members.

We are committed to providing a learning environment where everyone feels safe, welcome and respected. There are many ways to stay connected with what is happening in our school. Visit our school website for up-to-date information about events, watch for weekly emails, and follow us on Instagram.

We also know that parents play a vital role in the education of their child. For this to happen, we must all work together. The SZPAB Student/Parent Handbook contains information that both students and parents are likely to need during the school year.

A child is most successful when there is a strong partnership between home and school, a partnership that thrives on communication. Your involvement in this partnership is extremely critical.

We encourage you to:

  • Make sure your child is in their homeroom by 7:45 a.m. every day or they will be marked late.
  • Become familiar with your child’s school activities and with the academic programs.
  • Monitor your child’s academic progress and contact teachers as necessary.
  • Attend scheduled Student Progress Meetings and our variety of family engagement events.
  • Parents and students should also become familiar with the SZPA’s Student Code of Conduct, which is intended to promote school safety and an atmosphere for learning.

Please be aware that the handbook is updated annually, while policy adoption and revisions may occur throughout the year. Changes in policy, which affect the Student Handbook provisions, will be made available to students and parents through newsletters, the website, and other communication methods. Please review the entire handbook with your child and keep it as a reference during this school year. Do not hesitate to contact the school if you have any questions.

Best wishes for an exciting and rewarding school year.

Yours sincerely,

Mr. Neil Matthews

Principal
