We are interested in native-English speaking teachers who hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher in their teaching subject, have a university qualification in education and have a minimum of 2 years full-time, post-qualification experience. The Sheikh Zayed Academy for Boys is looking to appoint a Head of Inclusion to join our dedicated and talented faculty in August 2024. Exceptional CPD opportunities are available to all teachers including the NPQML, NPQSL and NPQH.
Responsibilities include:
- To lead, monitor, evaluate and review the Inclusion Department across SZPAB.
 - To effectively line manage the Elementary Inclusion Leader and ensure appropriate support is provided.
 - To be responsible for maintaining the Academy’s SEN Profile, ensuring that it is always up-to-date and is an accurate picture of student SEN need across the phase.
 - To ensure appropriate provision for the needs of all students with special, additional, and needs in the phase.
 - To be responsible for the accurate identification of SEN need across the Academy, ensuring a rigorous and thorough assessment process.
 - To ensure that Individual Education Plans (IEP's) are fully implemented, advise staff on how to support students and make referrals for external support as needed.
 - To liaise with Assistant Principal (Assessment) in preparation for external examinations, approvals, accommodations and support necessary provision.
 - To liaise and work with parents and students to ensure that provision is in line with their priorities.
 - To support preparation for life and education beyond the school years.
 - To be an excellent role model and deliver training and support to other teachers in providing quality first teaching that meets the learning needs of all.
